Now he owns the NMCI Global Corporation, a renowned surveying and inspection company with offices worldwide. Residing in New Jersey with his wife Mrs. Nasreen Suhrawardi and three daughters.

In UK. Presently working with the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), an Executive Agency of the Department for Transport, as Examiner of Masters and Mates at MCA’s Southampton Head Quarters. Before joining MCA he served at the Blackpool and Fylde College as the Degree Programme Coordinator and Lecturer for senior courses, a position he has held since 01 Oct 1999. Prior to that he served as the Head of Pre-Sea Nautical at Maritime Academy Malaysia(1994-1999). Prior to that, he worked as the Principal of Seamen Training Centre in Bangladesh. Capt. Quader obtained an MSc degree from the World Maritime University (WMU), Malmo, Sweden in 2003. He is also a member of the NI and also the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London. He resides in Southampton with his wife and two children.

In UK. Mr Zafrul Alam is currently First Secretary (Maritime Affairs), Singapore High Commission, London, a position he has held since September 2000. Prior to that he was Assistant-Director in the Policy Division at the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. He is also currently Chairman of the IMO Sub-Committee of Bulk Liquids and Gases, a position he has held since 1 Jan 2001. Prior to that he was the Vice-Chairman of the IMO Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) for two years. He lives in London with his wife Mrs. Mahmuda Alam (Mary) and two daughters Fareena Alam (Julie) and Farzina Alam (Nancy).
