09 Jul 2010Capt. Shakil Mahbubul Huq (25th) passed away (Inna.....!)
We regret to infrom that Capt. Shakil Mahbubul Huq (25th) passed away (Inna.....!) on 12 May 2010 in Western Hospital, Melbourne, Austalia. After a massive heart attck on 23rd April, around 0430 he went into deep coma. He left behind two children, wife, parents, siblings and us all the well wishers. Our sincere condolences to his bereaved family and loved ones.

As-salaam-wa-lai-kum.
I am from 19th Batch and had the privilege to work with Capt Nasim on board the ship "Sea World".. During our almost nine months time on board "Sea World" due to the nature of work we did we became very close at that time. My wife and I visited Capt. Nasim's "Apon Nibas" house many times during this time. We are extremely disturbed to know that he is now suffering from non Hodgkin Lymphoma Cancer. Only Allah knows which is best for us but as far as I know Capt Nasim he is a person who does not know how to give up and I am sure in this occasion Allah will help him with that type of attitude towards life. I will appreciate if you please pass this message to him and tell him that we do pray for him in our prayers.

With great sorrow and grief I would like to inform you that our friend Capt. Nasim Khan has been declared as suffering from Non Hogdkin Lymphoma Cancer. He was working as marine surveyor in Dubai for last 6 years. When he felt pain in lower abdomen he immdeiately came to Bangkok where it has been diagnosed as 20cm big lump turned into cancer in lower abodomen. That was 26th of February. Since then many tests and one Chemo therapy has already been carried out. Recently it also been diagnosed that this cancer has been spread to bone marrow and that menas which initially thought to be cured by 4 Chemo now it could go up to at least 8 plus bone marrow transplantation. He has wife, Chanda and two daughter, one of them in Sharjah university and the other will appear alevel. The brothers and sisters are in USA and one in Norway who are in great support to him.
I earnestly request and pray that you all will take this seriously and pray to Almightly Allah for his timely recovery. Also let us pray that Allah give him the full strength to bear the pain of the medications that he has to go through within the next few months.
He is under treatment of doctors in Vejthani as well as Bangkok hospital. First Kemo was given in Vejthani Hospital, Bangkok. Second is coming on 25th.
