Capt. Mohammad Iqbal (4th) expired (Inna..!) on 11 June 2007 at 0120 hours at
Metropolitan Hospital, Chittagong. He suffered a brain hemorrhage after a stroke
a few weeks ago. He died due to a complication after a brain surgery. His
Namaj-E-Janaja was scheduled after Johor prayer at Kamal Eshq Mostafa Mosque,
East Bakulia, Chittagong. Every one is requested to pray for the peace of his
departed soul.

Capt. Sheikh Iftekhar Ahmed (10th batch, Marine Academy) expired (Inna .....rajeun) early morning on 26 October 2006, at Sikdar Hospital, Dhaka while undergoing treatment for cardiac problems. He left behind his wife, one son, two daughters, relatives, friends and a host of admirers to mourn his death.

Niaz Ahmed (22nd batch, Marine Academy) expired on Monday night (26/09/06), at Calvary
hospital, Canberra, Australia (Inna Lillahe Wa Inna Ilahe Rajeun).. His wife was next to him at the time of his
unexpected death. He was working for the Department of Immigration, Australia.
His body is expected to be released by the authorities on Monday /Tuesday (2/3
Oct 06)and burial will be arranged accordingly as directed by his wife / family.
Please pray for the peace of his departed soul from wherever you are. May Allah
give us strength to survive through the difficult times in life.

Chief Officer,
Banglar Shourav, was severely burned when
his vessel, a tanker operated by Bangladesh Shipping Corporation, Chittagong,
caught fire after an explosion in mid section, around 11:00 AM Bangladesh
time, Saturday, 24 June 2006. She was at anchor in Area Charlie of Chittagong
Outer Anchorage. He was admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Couple of days later he was flown to Singapore. He expired on 03 July 2006 in
Singapore

Mr. A.K.M Nurul Amin, Ex-CEO, Marine Academy, Chittagong, expired
on 30 April 2006
& Mrs. Amin Expired 29 April 2006
(Inna.....!) On 29th April, in Chittagong, Mrs. Amin was having some
insulin issues. In the evening she became little stable, but within very short
period of time she expired. All this time Mr. Amin was in Dhaka having
his regular health checkups. Next day 30th April, he arrived Chittagong
without knowing anything about his beloved wife. At home hearing the news he
collapsed and never recovered. Lets all pray for the departed souls.

On 15 Dec 2005, afternoon, he was hit by a babytaxi while crossing
Patenga Road on foot, near Patenga Jetty of Marine Academy, Chittagong.
Immediately he went on comma. He never recovered from comma and expired in the
evening in hospital, probably due to severe brain hemorrhages. He was serving Marine

Dear Mariners: Regret to inform you all that Capt. L.T. Gomes (3rd batch
cadet, Marine Academy, Chittagong), has expired at 2350 hours on 09 November
2005 at Lab Aid Diagnostic Centre, Dhaka. He had been suffering from heart
disease for last few years. He was admitted at Lad Aid Diagnostic Centre,
Dhaka, on 17 September 2005 and his Open Heart Sugary took place there twice.
His funeral will take place at Patharghata Catholic Church, Chittagong at 1700

Capt. Salehuddin (13th), brother of late Mr. M. Alamgir
(13th) expired on 07 Feb 2004, morning, at his home in Chittagong, due to heart
failure. Inna-lillahi-wa-inna-ilaihi raziun. He was buried in his home
town in Noakhali on the same day. As a cousin, I would like to make humble
request to all colleagues and friends to forgive him and pray for his departed
soul. May Allah forgive him and grant zannat-ul-Ferdous. May Allah give us the

on Thursday, 17 July 2003, around 10:00 AM, due to heart failure at Gopalganj, Faridpur.
After a heart attack, he was brought to Faridpur General Hospital, where he
was declared dead. He was serving Marine Academy, Chittagong, as Chief of Nautical
Studies. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Dilruba Zakir, daughter Nazia
Nowreen Nazia aged 13 and son Abrar Aowsaf aged 10.

With great sorrow and pain I have to say that
our beloved batch mate Tareq Mahmud (29th) died on 22th May at 2030 hrs
at Monowara Hospital, Dhaka (Innalillahe................). Tareq Mahmud,
brother of Tanvir Mahmud (25th) was taken to Singapore for treatment. Before
that he was taken to India for Kidney Transplant. His condition was
deteriorating during last few days and he was taken to hospital. His family,
friends, colleagues, doctors, everybody tried their best to keep him alive,
but all went in vein. Tareq left us at the age of about 28 leaving behind all

Here is a sad news. Mohammad Alamgir (13th) has passed away this morning the 6th July, 2000.
He has died of heart attack, all on a sudden just after having his breakfast. I never heard
he had any problem of that sort. Only yesterday evening he felt some pain in the chest,
which he did not take seriously. Today morning also he was all prepared to go to office ,
had his breakfast and then again the pain come back and by 9.00 hrs it all came to an end.
Please pray to almighty for the salvation of the departed soul.
