Project Update as of 26
Sep 2004
On 24 Sep 2004, Mr. Shahidul Alam (17th) received his first
disability equipment, a Portable Transfer Lift, procured for him
under this project. He is very happy with the equipment and enjoying the added
comfort this equipment brought in for him.
He writes the following to thank all involved in this project
:
"Thanks to the Almighty, I received this great gift from the
marine community this morning. The "transfer lift" package is perfectly in sound
condition. I have unpacked it, tested and found it very helpful for me.........I
cannot express in words how grateful I am. I definitely feel very lucky even in
this condition, that I get well wishes from all you good persons. This world is
still a good place to live on for me. Although I am bodily dead, but your
efforts have boosted my mind to live on and not to give up.....Thank you all.
You will be remembered by me, whenever I see this excellent gift which I shall
be using every day........Regards to your family.......You will be always in my
prayers........Please take care......Yours,.....Shahidul Alam" 24
