This is a TRUE STORY of a 11/12 years old boy who was born on 1^st September 1959 in a family that was directly involved in the political activities in the city of Pabna. During the liberation war the boy went to India with his father with a desire of becoming a FREEDOM FIGHTER!

 

His father was the Ground Administrator (In-charge) of the Madhupur Freedom Fighters’ Reception Camp, Balurghat, West Dinajpur, India. Although his father was positive but the recruitment authority suggested that he might be recruited after 2/3 years when he would become 13/14 years grown-up one!

 

However he used to pass time sitting beside the guerrilla training classes and thus he learned almost all the war/weapon techniques. He was there with the ‘dream of becoming a freedom-fighter’ till the country was liberated on 16^th December 1971. He came back to the city of Pabna to his mother/sisters, whom he left five months ago, and with his long cherished and unfinished dream...

 

Well now the boy is no more a boy but a well-groomed man of 40. A marine engineer, served at sea (upto the rank of Chief Engineer) on-board Bangladesh Shipping Corporation ships during 1980-93 and since 1993 he is working at the Marine Academy, Chittagong, Bangladesh as its Chief Engineer (Head of Engineering Dept.).]
